Why fundraise for Sussex Wildlife Trust?
Do you want to live in a wilder place, with more wildlife-rich stretches of land and sea that everyone can enjoy? That’s what the money you raise will help us create: a better future for wildlife and local people.
Together with our wonderful community of members, fundraisers and volunteers, we’re working to give nature space to thrive across 30% of our land and sea in Sussex. Our goal is ambitious, but it’s possible because we’re a dedicated community and have fabulous people raising funds for the work that needs to be done.
Where to start?
Step 1: Download our fundraising pack
If you’ve never raised funds for us before, our pack will give you all the info you need.
Step 2: Decide on what, where, when and who
What do you want to do? Where, when and how will you do it? Who will you ask to join or sponsor you?
Step 3: Set your fundraising goal
How much money do you want to raise? Pick a target you’re comfortable with.
Step 4: Create a fundraising page
Make it easy to collect sponsorship by setting up a JustGiving page linked to Sussex Wildlife Trust.
Step 5: Plan and promote
Share what you’re doing: posters, social media. Email. And remember to tell us so we can promote your efforts too.
Step 6: Have fun and celebrate!
Enjoy the experience and celebrate every pound you raise. And remember, to tell us how it went.

Up for an ULTRA challenge?
Are you a rambler, trail runner or marathoner? Love to run, jog or walk? Keen to trek a new route, explore a new region or test yourself physically?
Why not sign up for one of 19 amazing challenges offered by Ultra Challenge® across the UK. With distances from 10km to over 100km, there’s something for everyone.
Go solo, or recruit a team. Then pick your challenge on the Ultra Challenge® website and select Sussex Wildlife Trust as your charity. Events are fully supported and for all experience levels.

Need some ideas to get you started?
Love people? You could throw a garden party, a barn dance or a community picnic. Love making things? Organise a bake sale, craft something unique to raffle, or run a knitting challenge. Love games? Set up a board game event, a treasure hunt, a football tournament or a casino night.
Love exercising? Organise a family sports day, a night-walk or a bike ride. Love a challenge? Set yourself one that your friends will never believe you can do…like a sponsored silence, a marathon or a skydiving jump.
