Why Gatwick Greenspace?
We are one of Sussex Wildlife Trust’s community wildlife projects. Since 1994, we have been working across some 200 square kilometres of countryside and in the adjacent towns of Reigate, Dorking and Horley, in Surrey and Crawley and Horsham in Sussex, with Gatwick Airport at the centre.
What we do
Volunteering for individuals
Do you want to get involved with practical conservation tasks? We organise weekly sessions, with activities such as woodland management and heath restoration. You can come along to a ‘taster’ day before committing to become a regular volunteer.

Youth action groups
Do you want spend time outdoors, learning skills and making a real difference for nature? We run regular practical conservation sessions for those aged between 12 and 25, at a variety of sites in the region.

Children’s sessions in nature
Do you want your child to spend more time learning and playing outdoors? We offer inspiring, messy, creative sessions: Wildlife Watch for 5 to 11-year-olds and Nature Tots for 3 to 5-year-olds.
What we do
Support for educators, bespoke events and Forest School
