Monthly meetings in Eastbourne
We hold illustrated talks by visiting speakers on many different aspects of natural history including birds, nature conservation, butterflies, plants and flowers. These meetings are held at 7.30pm on the third Thursday of every month (except June, July, August and December, plus September is on the 4th Thursday) at the Victoria Baptist Church, Eldon Road, Eastbourne, BN21 1UE, where there is a large free car park adjacent to the Church.
The admission charge to our indoor meetings is £4.00 for Sussex Wildlife Trust members and £5.00 for visitors/non SWT Members and we also make a small charge of £1 for refreshments which are served during an interval in the talk. Please reserve a ticket using the Eventbrite link for each event (note: our events are only accessible via our link, they are hidden in Eventbrite).
Guided local walks
We also arrange monthly local walks (except November, December & January), usually between two and three hours duration to various places of interest. The seasons and varied habitats in Sussex allow us to see a range of birds, wild flowers and plants, fungi, butterflies and trees. Unless otherwise stated, our walks are open to both SWT members and visitors/non members with a suggested donation of £3 for the Sussex Wildlife Trust.
