Storrington & Arun Valley Regional Group has recently been formed with events planned from September 2021 onwards.

The new group will support Sussex Wildlife Trust (SWT) in its local communities by communicating, ‘localising’ and implementing the Trust’s strategy, plans and objectives. We expect to provide direct and tangible support ‘on the ground’ to SWT’s key initiatives and projects – including specialist species expertise, physical habitat improvement and other aspects where the group is able to do so.

The group will work closely with existing wildlife and conservation groups and societies, actively seeking ways in which we can collaborate for the benefit of wildlife and the

Any SWT members can join the group, although the majority of our events will be held in the part of the county West of the A24 and east of, and including Petworth, south of Horsham
and north of the Downs. Some of our events will, also, be open for non-SWT members to attend.

Each year a programme of activities will be put together including indoor meetings (external/internal speakers and other formats), online talks and training sessions and
outdoor guided reserve visits and other walks.

Further details of our forward programme will be added every 6 months or so and specific events communicated regularly through social media and other advertising.

Details of upcoming events will be posted on this page, as well as our facebook

If you would like to join our group and receive our monthly bulletins, please email your details to: [email protected]
