Volunteer with us
Volunteering is your chance to make a positive contribution to your local area - to learn new skills, make new friends and share or improve your knowledge of nature and conservation in Sussex.
If you are considering volunteering with us for the first time and want to find out more join one of our Tuesday Taster sessions. Book a place via the links below:
7th July - Warnham Nature Reserve // 4th August - Gratton's Park, Crawley // and 1st September - Chennelsbrook Castle, Horsham.
We don't offer work experience placements, but we do have a range of volunteer opportunities available in areas such as practical conservation, supporting education groups / events and using specific skills to support our work. Current opportunities can be seen in the Volunteer Vacancies section below - please note that our opportunities are intended for regular, rather than one off volunteers and we can only accept applications for specific roles.
Applications are always very welcome from people planning to volunteer regularly, however recruitment may be paused in busy periods and is closed annually during December + January and July + August.
* Due to high demand, recruitment of new volunteers has now been paused until the 8th June 2026.
