Weald to Waves
Weald to Waves aims to create a 100-mile nature recovery corridor across Sussex. This exciting project relies upon successful collaboration with local organisations and individuals to deliver practical projects to create the habitat connections and improvements for wildlife.
This landscape scale project covers some of the most important areas of biodiversity in Sussex and passes through places where Sussex Wildlife Trust already has an active involvement. These include our nature reserves in Ashdown Forest and the Adur and Arun Valleys, our landscape scale Wilder-Horsham District and Wilder Ouse projects and, of course, our leading role in the pioneering Kelp Recovery Project..
The Trust works every day to drive natures recovery through habitat improvements on our land, our work with local land managers and farmers and by engaging hundreds of diverse communities to both connect with and take action for wildlife.
We are delighted to be part of this project which supports the scale and aspiration of the Trusts Our Wild Sussex strategy by helping create an important corridor for nature.
