Wilder Horsham District has a fund available to support landowners and community groups wishing to implement practical schemes to expand and improve networks for wildlife across the Horsham District landscape. Applicants should state clearly in their application how they think their project will contribute to a Nature Recovery Network through the District.
All applications will be considered against:
- Contribution to the Horsham District Nature Recovery Network
- Wilder Horsham District habitat priorities and nature based solutions
- Wilder Horsham District geographical priorities
- Value for money
- Informed design and management of the works
Applicants can apply for funding for projects of any size up to a maximum of £5000. Applications will be judged by a professional panel and funding will be awarded quarterly.
If you wish to apply, please complete the application form below and email it to [email protected]. Following submission, we will email confirming receipt of your application. If you require a physical copy of the application form, please contact the project so we can supply you with one. You may use the Guidelines Notes below for further support and information regarding your application.
The Nature Recovery Award is currently closed for applications. The next submission round will open on Monday 4th October 2021. All applicants will be contacted whether successful or not. If you have any further questions, please email [email protected].
Please note - Tackling climate change is important too. If your project principally contributes towards a vision for a carbon-neutral Horsham District, your application might be better suited for Horsham District Council’s Community Climate Fund. This fund supports projects that improve the physical environment as well as benefitting the wider community. Please be aware that funding cannot be offered by the Community Climate Fund and Nature Recovery Award for the same project.
