Course Tutor: Aimi Rifat – Wilder Learning and communities Officer, Rye Harbour Discovery Centre

Session time 2-4 pm

Discover the rare and unique plants we have on the reserve and how they adapt to their extreme living conditions. We will take a walk to spot and identify the emerging plants and back in the discovery centre we will explore the anatomy of plants through Mono printing and create a series of prints to take home.

Suitable for children aged 5 to 11 years accompanied by a parent or guardian who do not need to book a ticket.

Location: Meet at Rye Harbour Discovery Centre, Rye Harbour, TN31 7FW

Public transport: How to find us | Rye Harbour Nature Reserve. The 313 Stagecoach bus travels from Northiam to Rye train station and on to Rye Harbour village.

What to bring/wear: Please wear suitable outdoor clothing/footwear, and sun protection, for the weather conditions. Price doesn’t include refreshments, so bring a drink & snack, or Lime Kiln café at the Centre will be open from 9.30am to 4.30pm for refreshments and lunch.

Accessibility: We will use accessible paths on the reserve and into the education room. Our toilet facilities will be available, if needed, at the beginning and end of your session.
