💚 Young People's Month event at Rye Harbour 💚
Sussex Wildlife Photographer, Rachel Bigsby, has a gift for reflecting the beauty and artistry of nature in her images. Representing young, female, self-taught photographers, Rachel is best known for her fine art work with seabirds.
Join her for this talk, as she takes you on a photographic journey of her 'wild life' from pole to pole; her expeditions to remote places, her favourite images and the stories behind them. She’ll share how she takes her stunning photographs and her insight into what makes a strong image, followed by a question and answer session.
At the age of 27, Rachel has already won the 'Natural Artistry' category in the Natural History Museum’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year as well as the Portfolio Award in Bird Photographer of the Year. Her work has been exhibited in prestigious institutions such as The Royal Geographical Society and The National Museum of Scotland.
Rachel is an RSPB Ambassador, a photography expedition guide and a Nikon Creator. Her images have been published in the pages of National Geographic, WWF, and New Scientist. She has featured on TV programmes such as Springwatch and The One Show, and worked on David Attenborough's Wild Isles. See her website.

Public Transport: The 313 Stagecoach bus travels from Northiam to Rye train station, and on to Rye Harbour village.
Accessibility: Rye Harbour Discovery Centre is a wheelchair-friendly venue, with a step-free entrance ramp. Our toilet facilities include two that are wheelchair accessible.
