‘A Year of Garden Birds and Plants' Part 1 – Rye Harbour Discovery Centre (23/02/25) Sunday, 23rd February 2025 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM

Speaker: Christine George

Find out how to make your garden more bird-friendly in this informative talk at Rye Harbour Discovery Centre.

Hear which garden birds to look out for each month, and pick up tips on how to make your garden inviting for them. Christine will give us plenty of facts about the birds themselves, while revealing the seasonal plants or shrubs that may attract them.

This talk will be packed with practical ideas, there'll be time to ask questions and useful resources available afterwards. So come and discover what you can do to help our feathered friends.

Christine is a long standing volunteer at Rye Harbour with a lifetime interest in both birds and gardening. She is also fully-qualified bird ringer and one of our experts for Guide in a Hide, helping many people identify birds at Rye Harbour Nature Reserve.

This session covers garden birds likely to be seen in the first six months of the year. Look out for a second talk from Christine later in the year (Part 2) covering the next six months.

Our café will be open until 4.15pm serving refreshments and light lunches.
