Course Tutor: Aimi Rifat – Wilder Learning and communities Officer, Rye Harbour Discovery Centre
The session will run from 1-3pm and we will take a walk with the binoculars to Gooder’s Hide to learn how birds on the reserve survive through the Winter, observe and identify birds at the reserve and then back in the classroom learn how to dry needle felt or hand embroider a bird.
Suitable for children aged 5 to 11 years, who must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Public transport: How to find us | Rye Harbour Nature Reserve. The 313 Stagecoach bus travels from Northiam to Rye train station and on to Rye Harbour village.

What to bring/wear: Please wear suitable outdoor clothing/footwear, and sun protection, for the weather conditions and be prepared to dip your toes in the water! Price doesn’t include refreshments, so bring a drink & snack, or Lime Kiln café at the Centre will be open from 10am to 4pm for refreshments and lunch.
Accessibility: We use accessible paths where possible, however our outdoor activities may not always be suitable for those with restricted mobility. If this might be an issue, contact us before booking and we'll do our best to support you. Our toilet facilities will be available, if needed, at the beginning and end of your session.
