Home Education: Wild about Art - Rye Harbour (22/11/24) Friday, 22nd November 2024 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Leader: Aimi Rifat
Explore Rye Harbour Nature Reserve and beach through a range of creative materials and processes. We will look at artists such as Annie Soudain, Kurt Jackson and Andy Goldsworthy and use their ideas to respond to natural landscape, taking a walk alongside the saltmarsh to the beach. Suitable for children aged 5 to 11 years, who must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. If the weather is poor, we will still do some work outside but may come in and use the classroom at the Discovery Centre.
Location: Meet inside Rye Harbour Discovery Centre, see our website for how to find us and where to park.
Public transport: The 313 Stagecoach bus travels from Northiam to Rye train station and on to Rye Harbour village.
Included in the price: One adult joins for free when accompanying a paying child.
Booking essential: We’ll send further joining instructions after booking and ask if anyone has additional needs. Scroll down for tickets, please click here to read our booking and cancellation Terms & Conditions.
What to bring/wear: Please wear suitable outdoor clothing/footwear, and sun protection, for the weather conditions and the beach. Price doesn’t include refreshments, so bring a drink & snack, or our café at the Centre will be open from 10am to 4pm for refreshments and lunch.
