Wild Beach Child - Rye Harbour (31/10/24)

Join us in exploring our shoreline and learn about tides and time on the beach. We will also look at how waves affect our coastline and search for shells and mermaids’ purses on the strandline. We will aim to identify what we have found and end with a beach clean as a way of thank you to our beach.

We will then return to the Discovery Centre for a drink and a sweet treat. If the weather is too wet we will learn about the shoreline and tides in the education room and create a beach related craft.

Price includes a drink and a sweet treat, please tell us about any dietary needs on booking.

Suitable for children aged 5 to 11 years, parents/carers do not need to stay.

Location: Meet at Rye Harbour Discovery Centre, Rye Harbour, TN31 7FW

Public Transport: The 313 Stagecoach bus travels from Northiam to Rye train station and on to Rye Harbour village.

What to bring: Please wear suitable outdoor clothing/footwear, and sun protection, for the weather conditions and the beach. Bring a drink too.
