Family Event: Beach School (30/08/2024)

Take part in our fun Beach School at Rye Harbour nature reserve! Join Alice on a walk to the shingle shore. She’ll lead you through various family activities, such as a beach scavenger hunt, pebble pictures, making giant bubbles, kite-making, creating rock pools, and litter-picking.

If the weather is too wet, we’ll offer activities indoors, like beach-themed crafts & games and identifying coastal creatures.

Suitable for children aged 5 to 11 years, who must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please be aware that all participants need to buy a ticket.

Price does not include refreshments. Our café will be open from 10am to 4pm for refreshments and lunch.

Location: Meet at Rye Harbour Discovery Centre, Rye Harbour, TN31 7FW

Public Transport: The 313 Stagecoach bus travels from Northiam to Rye train station and on to Rye Harbour village.

What to bring: Please wear suitable outdoor clothing/footwear, and sun protection, for the weather conditions and the beach. Bring a drink too.

Accessibility: Our outdoor activities are not always suitable for people with restricted mobility, although we try to use accessible paths where possible. If you think this might be an issue, contact us before booking and we will do our best to support you.
