3rd Saturday of the month - Saturday 26 June & 24 July 2021 - Stanmer Village, Stanmer Park - with Bruno
10:30 - 12:30
WILDLIFE WATCH IS FOR CHILDREN AGED 5-9 YEAR OLDS ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT. ADULTS FREE OF CHARGE
Bring your children along to help them explore the natural world. This will involve getting to know the forest school site and bushcraft activities!
This Wildlife Watch club is based on Forest School principles, providing a wonderful opportunity for children to experience and learn from nature. They will be encouraged to tackle hands-on outdoor activities, work co-operatively with others, and have an opportunity to gain a sense of achievement while developing social skills and boosting confidence. Sessions are themed around the changing seasons and discovering how to help local wildlife thrive. Each month will have a different theme based in a special forest school site. Children will learn to become confident in an outdoor setting, learn basic woodcraft skills and explore their natural surroundings with games and lots of outdoor activities. It’ll provide a great opportunity for you and your child to have fun in the natural environment and will aim to encourage an interest in wildlife.
Meet on the grass by the church opposite Stanmer House. Stanmer Park is located near Falmer, to the north of Brighton, next to the University of Sussex. If you are using sat nav, the best post code is BN1 9QA, which is Stanmer House, within sight of our meeting start point. We will then head off to the location together, which is a 5-10 minute walk from the church.
Public car park near the Church next to the farm yard. Please note 'Pay By Phone' charges now apply.

NEW WILDLIFE WATCH GROUP GUIDELINES ARE IN PLACE IN RESPONSE TO CORONAVIRUS
As you are aware, the Coronavirus pandemic means that we have to be extremely careful about taking care of the health and wellbeing of all staff, volunteers and participants at our events. We will provide a bottle of sanitiser so all attendees (staff, volunteers, parents and children) must thoroughly sanitise their hands before and after the session, and during as required. We have restricted numbers of attendees and will facilitate activities in order that separate households can maintain social distancing as much as is practically possible, while enjoying their time with us. However, the responsibility will remain with the attending adult to take on the management of distancing of themselves and their children as follows:
- Parent manages 2m distancing of themselves from adults and children (other than their own) at all times.
- Parent manages 2m distancing of their children from other adults (unless adult agrees and is wearing a face mask, e.g. staff member demonstrating tool use)
- Parent encourages 1m+ distancing between their child and other children, minimising mixing as much as is practically possible. If children move within 1m of each other, they will be sensitively encouraged to move apart.
We reserve the right to ask participants to leave the group if they do not comply with our terms and conditions so we ask that you please read the following information carefully BEFORE booking
