Crawley - Tilgate Park Wildlife Watch Pilot Session (08/05/2021) Saturday, 8th May 2021 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Saturday 8th May 2021 - Tilgate Park, Crawley - with Tamara
Wildlife Watch is for 5-11 year olds with accompanying adults.
Bring your children along to help them explore the natural world. This will involve getting to know the forest school site, exploring the farm’s habitats and of course more fire and bush craft activities!
Wildlife Watch clubs are based on Forest School principles, providing a wonderful opportunity for children aged 5-11 to experience and learn from nature. They will be encouraged to tackle hands-on outdoor activities, work co-operatively with others, and have an opportunity to gain a sense of achievement while developing social skills and boosting confidence. Sessions are themed around the changing seasons and discovering how to help local wildlife thrive.
Meet outside the Walled Garden Cafe, Tilgate Park, Titmus Drive, Tilgate, Crawley, RH10 5PQ, which is a ten minute walk from the forest school site. Free parking available, directions will be sent upon booking.
All children must be accompanied by an adult. Please wear suitable clothing and sturdy boots/wellingtons. Log fire, warm drinks and mud provided.
Sorry no dogs.
NEW WILDLIFE WATCH GROUP GUIDELINES ARE IN PLACE IN RESPONSE TO CORONAVIRUS
As you are aware, the Coronavirus pandemic means that we have to be extremely careful about taking care of the health and wellbeing of all staff, volunteers and participants at our events. We will provide a bottle of alcohol gel sanitiser so all attendees (staff, volunteers, parents and children) must thoroughly sanitise their hands, or wash with soap and water, before the session, and follow additional hand sanitising instruction around the use of resources and tools. We have restricted numbers of attendees and will facilitate activities in order that separate households can maintain social distancing as much as is practically possible, while enjoying their time with us. However, the responsibility will remain with the attending adult to take on the management of distancing of themselves and their children as follows:
- Parent manages 2m distancing of themselves from adults and children (other than their own) at all times.
- Parent manages 2m distancing of their children from other adults (unless adult agrees and is wearing a face mask, e.g. staff member demonstrating tool use)
- Parent encourages 1m+ distancing between their child and other children, minimising mixing as much as is practically possible. If children move within 1m of each other, they will be sensitively encouraged to move apart.
We reserve the right to ask participants to leave the group if they do not comply with our health and safety terms and conditions so we ask that you please read the following information carefully BEFORE booking
