A huge thank you to everyone who has signed up to show their support for the creation of 41 new Marine Conservation Zones (MCZ) in England, including three off the Sussex coast. Over 500 postcards from local Sussex residents are being sent to Defra as part of the MCZ consultation.

Three special places off the Sussex coast have been chosen for the public to comment on;

None of these places will be designated unless there is public support for their protection. That’s why we are urging the public to have their say and join a giant #WaveOfSupport calling for all potential MCZs to be recognised and protected.

There is still time to show your support online, but hurry the deadline is Friday 20 July 2018

The e-action can be completed here www.wildlifetrusts.org/waveofsupport

  • Rob Winterson:

    This country needs to set a first class example in its policies towards the environment. Never has protecting our natural habitats been more important, especially our Oceans. These MCZs are vital to protect these delicate areas, and will help show the rest of the world the high value we place on our environment.
