As a leading local conservation charity, and a strong protagonist for nature, Sussex Wildlife Trust plays a key role in supporting local communities to take positive action for people and wildlife. This action can mitigate and prevent the damaging effects of climate change. We also know a huge number of incredible, influential, innovative and pro-active people that we can work with to design new ways of future proofing our landscapes and our communities.

On January 23 2020, we will be holding a Landscape Innovation Conference in partnership with Sussex University. This Conference is a first step for us, in helping to support and inspire local people to find solutions to the climate crisis. We have some fantastic speakers lined up for the day, and we hope that the event will be the springboard for a series of themed events and new collaborations which help us to counteract climate change and biodiversity declines.

We need to create climate capacity – or the breathing space in which our natural environment can start to recover from some of the worst of the damage which has been done. We hope that you will join us in this exciting opportunity to make those changes both on an individual and a professional level.
