The Wildlife Trusts are delighted to be John Lewis’s Christmas campaign charity partner. This year’s John Lewis Christmas advert celebrates - with sparkle and a flash of magic - the joy of encountering wildlife in a garden using a cast of wild creatures including a fox, badger, squirrel and hedgehog.

10% of the sale of soft toys from the campaign will go towards The Wildlife Trusts’ work engaging children with nature – this will include wildlife action packs for thousands of schoolchildren, activity booklets, and wildlife resources for teachers to use in lessons.

At Sussex Wildlife Trust some of our Nature Tots attending who attend weekly session at Woods Mill nature reserve, Henfield, were introduced to the soft toys by Education Officer Katie Parker. The children pictured l/r are Kaarina from Brighton, Jamie from Haywards Heath, Mattie from Hove, Austin from Burgess Hill and Tom from Shoreham-by-Sea.

Nature Tots is for children aged between 3 – 5 years old and gives them the opportunity for wild play and woodcrafts designed to increase their confidence, social skills and physical coordination. For further information please visit our Nature Tots page
