Biocontrol of Australian Swampweed at Rye Harbour
The exciting news is that this week staff from CABI released some tiny mites into a small area of Australian Swampweed at Rye Harbour Nature Reserve.

Rye Harbour Nature Reserve sightings - July 2022
Bird highlight during July was a Purple Heron which was found at the northern end of Castle Water (before moving to Long Pit) on the 28th.

Going on a bee hunt at Rye Harbour Nature Reserve
Sussex Wildlife Trust volunteers and Friends members Morgan and Peter Greenhalf have been involved in identifying and recording bumblebees for over a decade. They now lead Bumblebees Identification days and ‘bee-safari’ walks.
