Over the ten years of delivering Natural Flood Management across the Ouse Catchment, the Sussex Flow Initiative proved that this nature based solution was applicable to a lowland catchment, and resulted in other similar projects being started in neighbouring catchments. The project also informed national strategy and guidance on Natural Flood Management and the multiple benefits it delivers.
