The Discovery Centre at Rye Harbour Nature Reserve offers modern, comfortable and highly accessible spaces to suit a wide range of events and audiences.

Up to 25 guests

River Room Exhibition Space

An intimate space for up to 25 guests, featuring a floor-to-ceiling window with unbeatable views of the River Rother and the dunes of Camber Sands. It’s often the best spot for seeing seals swim in on the tide.

  • Half-day (9am – 1pm / 12pm – 4pm): £180.00
  • Full day (9am – 4pm): £336.00

Up to 40 guests

Layton Room Classroom

Perfect for groups of up to 40 guests. The floor-to-ceiling window fills the room with light and offers first-class views of the River Rother flowing into the sea.

  • Half-day (9am – 1pm / 12pm – 4pm): £216.00
  • Full day (9am – 4pm): £360.00

Up to 60 guests

Whole space

The River Room and Layton Room can be combined to create a space for hosting up to 60 people.

Lime Kiln Café

Our on-site café can keep your guests well looked after, from refreshments and simple snacks to sharing platters and delicious cakes.

  • Jugs of filtered water and glasses: Free
  • Tea and coffee making facilities in the room: £3.25 per person
  • Cake bites: £4.00 per person
  • Breakfast (Croissant, pain au chocolat, bacon or cheese turnover) £3.90 per person
  • Light lunch (sandwich platters, vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, vegan options on request): £4.95 per person
  • Lunch (soup & sandwiches, vegetarian & non-vegetarian options): £12.75 per person
