Webinar: Wilder Horsham District Project: How Nature Recovery Networks Can Really Make a Difference Monday, 9th February 2026 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

There is currently a biodiversity crisis to go along with the climate crisis. Species are declining and habitats disappearing at an alarming rate and becoming increasingly fragmented. But, in some places, people are stepping up to do something about it. Wilder Horsham District is a pioneering partnership, between Horsham District Council and the Sussex Wildlife Trust, that is working with local residents to reverse Wildlife declines.

During this webinar, you will hear about the project and how it is working with local landowners and community groups. Richard Black, Senior Land Advisor at Sussex Wildlife Trust, will explain the importance of nature recovery networks and how creating and connecting habitats can rescue species. You’ll hear about natural processes and how the project is trying to restore them to boost wildlife across the District. The situation is serious but the actions of individuals and communities can and do make a real difference.

There will be an opportunity for a Q and A session at the end.
