Members-only event: Walk around The Mens (22/04/25)

Join Tony for a gentle walk around The Mens Nature Reserve looking at the history and wildlife of this interesting and often over-looked ancient woodland. A long history of minimal management here means that there is a good variety of woodland structure and Spring flora to see in the woods and meadows. Refreshments will be provided back in the car park.

The walk will be at a gentle pace, between 1-2 miles in length with lots of stops along the way. Terrain is very uneven and likely to be very muddy in places (it’s always muddy at The Mens!), so good footwear and clothing for possible bad weather is recommended. A reasonable amount of fitness is required.

Meeting point: The Mens car park, Crimbourne Lane, RH14 0HR

What to bring: Sturdy walking boots, clothes for all weathers, water. Binoculars and cameras are recommended. Refreshments will be provided but please bring your own mug.

Parking: There is limited free parking. Please park considerately and consider car sharing.

Public transport: There is no public transport available to this site.

Facilities: Please be aware that there are no public toilets or other facilities at this site.
