Sussex Landowners Woodland Creation Funding Workshop - Plumpton College (21/11/24) Thursday, 21st November 2024 10:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Join the Lost Woods project, The Woodland Trust, Natural England and the Forestry Commission to explore grant schemes for trees, hedges and other types of wooded habitats.
Lost Woods is a partnership project that is bringing local people together to learn about, explore, and care for woods across the Low Weald and Downs. Together, we can reconnect with our ancient woodlands and revive, restore, and protect them for future generations.
The free event on Thursday 21 November will introduce the range of grant opportunities on offer and the benefits to you as a landowner.
We will also give an overview of The Lost Woods of the Low Weald and Downs project to reconnect ancient woodlands through the formation of new nature corridors.
Farmers, landowners, and land managers in Sussex and the Lost Woods project area are encouraged to sign up to attend. Lunch is provided and there's an optional guided walk to view newly planted hedges, agroforestry, wooded habitat creation, and priority habitat grassland in the afternoon
