Pie and Mash Evening with a View at Rye Harbour Discovery Centre (28/09/24)

Join us for a Pie and Mash Evening at the Discovery Centre – back through popular demand after the sell-out success of our last one! It's a chance to enjoy the perfect comfort food with friends or family, while watching the sun set over stunning views of Rye Harbour nature reserve. You might spot some birds too, perhaps flocks of Starlings, Curlew, wild geese or Swallows on their way to Africa.

We’ll be serving a selection of fine pies (Steak & Ale, Chicken & Bacon or Spinach & Mushroom) from local producers, ‘Kentish Mayde’, who've received over 45 British Pie Awards. Alongside this will be the perfect accompaniment of mashed New Romney potatoes (hailing from just a few miles away) with seasonal vegetables. Not forgetting the all-important gravy! For dessert, there’s a choice of autumnal Apple and Blackberry Crumble, or Berry Meringue Roulade.

It’s a ‘bring your own’ evening with no corkage fee. So don’t forget to bring along your favourite bottle of wine or a nice cold beer! Hot and cold, non-alcoholic, drinks will also be available to buy.

The price for these two courses is £23.95 per person. Our child option includes two courses, with half a pie, for £12.95.
Proceeds from this event support Rye Harbour Nature Reserve and the Discovery Centre.
