Community BioBlitz at Kingley Vale NNR (29/05/24) Wednesday, 29th May 2024 10:30 AM - 2:30 PM

30 Days Wild event

Sussex Wildlife Trust are joining forces with Natural England to help celebrate National Nature Reserve Week. From Monday, May 20 to Friday, May 31, the 12-day event is a celebration of the beauty and variety of English landscapes and the wildlife it hosts. Organisers are encouraging people to find inspiration and connect with nature through a variety of events.

On Wednesday 29th May, we will be hosting a Community Bioblitz at Kingley Vale NNR, near Chichester and would love people to come along and have a go at pond dipping, meadow sweep netting and reptile searching to help us record the wildlife that calls this magnificent Yew forest home.

Suitable for any age, no booking required, children must be accompanied by an adult.

Address for the public to park is West Stoke Car Park, Downs Road, PO18 9BE. https://maps.app.goo.gl/2TtcP1PrRUYBpuaH8

There is space for approximately 25-30 cars, often a coffee van there during the middle of the day. The walk up from the car park is flat, and will be around 1mile by the time you get to where we’ll set up. There are no toilet or handwashing facilities on site.
