Beginning Birdwatching in Spring - Rye Harbour Nature Reserve (20/05/24) Monday, 20th May 2024 10:15 AM - 1:00 PM

Leader:  James Duncan

Rye Harbour is renowned for its magnificent bird life where more than 280 species have been recorded. Many have significant breeding populations on the reserve but others are migratory, stopping to refuel during epic journeys of flight. There will undoubtedly be many birds to both see and hear, but do you know what they are? Baffled by Birds of Prey? Flummoxed by Finches? Puzzled by Pipits? If you need guidance on your Gulls or help with your Herons, this is the event for you.

Join us for a circular walk of approximately 3km as we visit a few of the hides to get excellent views of seabirds, waders, ducks and a whole lot more.

Please bring Binoculars, though we may have a few pairs available on the day.

Suitable for adults.

Meet at Rye Harbour Discovery Centre TN31 7FW

Booking essential - Tickets available at the bottom of this page

Though there is no defined charge for this event, please note it will be run on a Donations basis
