Evening Wildlife at The Deneway Nature Reserve (12/03/24) Tuesday, 12th March 2024 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM
The Deneway, Sussex Wildlife Trust's youth-led reserve
Join us for a special evening session at Deneway Nature Reserve in Brighton to find out about the wildlife that comes out here at night! We will be looking out for Badgers and Foxes on the reserve, and maybe some early flying bats using bat detectors. You will learn how to survey small mammals using Longworth traps and they will be opened during Deneway’s Wild Future session on the 13th March. We will have the moth trap running so there will be a chance to learn some moth identification and how moth trapping works. This is a great opportunity to see elusive wildlife and get experience of survey techniques.
A break and refreshments will be provided. Wear suitable footwear and warm clothing.
There is a toilet on site. Feel free to email us with any questions.
Meet at the reserve entrance gate at The Deneway nature reserve, Brighton
Free event for 16 to 25 year olds, but booking essential.
