Beginners Coastal Birds workshop (20/01/24) Saturday, 20th January 2024 11:00 AM - 1:30 PM

Event with Shoreham District Ornithological Group for 16 to 25 year olds

Join Shoreham District Ornithological Group’s Tony Benton and communities’ intern and birdwatcher Mya Bambrick for a workshop on recognising and learning about birds found in coastal locations, such as waders and gulls. A great opportunity to learn some species identification skills, be involved with a local birdwatching group and meet like-minded young people.

We will have binoculars and scopes for you to use so that you can get a closer look at these fascinating birds. All levels of knowledge welcome.

Meet outside the entrance of Ropetackle Arts Centre at 11am. We will be walking along the footpath that runs along the river Adur and aim to finish back at the Ropetackle at 1:30pm. A break will be provided along with some snacks. Please wear suitable footwear and warm clothing.

Free event, but booking essential
