Beginning Birdwatching in Autumn - Rye Harbour Nature Reserve (23/11/2023) Thursday, 23rd November 2023 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Leader: James Duncan
Rye Harbour is renowned for its magnificent bird life where more than 280 species have been recorded. Many have significant breeding populations on the reserve but others are migratory, stopping to refuel during epic journeys of flight. There will undoubtedly be many birds to both see and hear, but do you know what they are? Flummoxed by Finches? Baffled by Buntings? Stumped by Sandpipers? If you need assistance with your Avocets or help with your Herons, this is the event for you.
Join us for a circular walk of approximately 3km as we visit a few of the hides to get excellent views of seabirds, ducks and a whole lot more. Binoculars are highly recommended, though we may have a few pairs available on the day.
Suitable for adults.
