Introduction to Hedgelaying (03/12/2022)

Hedgelaying is a traditional rural skill used to create a stock-proof field barrier and hedgerows are also an important habitat for many species of wildlife. Whether you have a large area of land or a relatively small garden the addition of a hedgerow can serve as an attractive, functional feature which will also benefit birds, insects, small mammals and many other species.

Tom Simpson will introduce all aspects of hedge laying and teach the basic skills required to lay a hedge. 

This course requires no previous knowledge or experience and is well suited to anyone wishing to try hedge-laying for the first.
