An Evening with Badgers (15/06/2022) Wednesday, 15th June 2022 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Tutor: David Plummer
Watching badgers emerging in a quiet Sussex woodland as the sun sets can be an incredible experience.
‘An evening with badgers’ will give you an insight into the lives of these amazing animals and will take you into the nocturnal world of the badger for a close view of a badger’s sett and, fingers crossed, its residents.
The evening will start with a discussion about badger life cycle, and how to observe them. We will then move to the observation area where we will sit quietly in the woodland on logs and observe badgers.
Badgers are cautious, sensitive animals and we would like to stress that, due to their sometimes fickle nature, sightings are not guaranteed.
Badgers do not like to emerge in heavy rain, so if rain is forecast then the event may be cancelled at short notice (this decision will be made by David on the day) and an alternative date rearranged. For this reason please supply a contact number when booking.
Not suitable for children aged 14 and under.
Venue: Private woodland between Lewes & Newick, East Sussex. Full directions will be emailed to you a week before the event.
Start and finish times are approximate. Exact times and full details will be emailed to attendees a week before the event
