For Nature's Sake: COP 26 webinar

The COP26 summit (31 Oct - 12 Nov) will bring parties together to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.

Sussex Wildlife Trust will be hosting a series of webinars looking at some of the pressing issues that COP 26 will be addressing.

In our second COP 26 webinar we will be focusing on carbon and nature. What are the challenges? Is tree planting the answer? What role do different landscapes including marine and coastal play?

Matthew Bird is Climate Lead at Sussex Wildlife Trust and will summarise the work he has been doing on the Carbon Footprint.

Tony Whitbread, President of Sussex Wildlife Trust and former CEO will bring his extensive knowledge and experience to set out the challenges that landscapes face in a changing climate

Julie Middleton worked with Wildlife and Countryside Link for several years before joining The Wildlife Trusts. She now works with the Sussex Nature Partnership where she leads on partnership approaches to Nature Recovery Networks, natural capital and nature-based climate solutions.

This is a free online event which is open to everyone but registration is essential.
