Guided Walk at Iping Common, near Midhurst

Summer is the best time to visit heathlands across the county. August still sees the flowering heather, buzzing with insects. We'll also be looking out for lizards, snakes, Tree Pipit, Hobby, Woodlark and Dartford Warbler. Another target species today will be the beautiful Silver-studded Blue butterfly, a heathland specialist whose caterpillars are raised by ants!

Led by Steve Webster, Reserve Manager.
