Sussex Kelp Restoration Project: Citizen Science Part One Monday, 26th July 2021 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM
National Marine Week webinar
Join Sarah Ward (Living Seas Officer, Sussex Wildlife Trust) and Dr Ian Hendy (Marine Biology Course Leader, University of Portsmouth) for the first instalment of our two-part webinar series on getting involved with recording kelp in Sussex as a citizen scientist.
The webinar is open to all, but we are particularly interested in participants who are active sea or beach users who are interested in helping us better understand the changing extent of kelp in the restoration area.
In this webinar we will be covering some back-to-basics on kelp ecology and identification; we will be hosting a follow-up webinar which will cover how to turn your sightings into a biological record.
The talk will be followed by a Q&A session.
This event is free but donations to assist the work of Sussex Wildlife Trust would be appreciated. There will be an opportunity to donate at the end of the talk.
After registering you'll receive a confirmation email which will contain the link required to attend the webinar. This link will also be contained in two reminder emails you'll receive one day and one hour before the start of the presentation.
