Spring at Rye Harbour - Members Only Tuesday, 6th April 2021 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM
An exclusive talk for Sussex Wildlife Trust members and Friends of Rye Harbour Nature Reserve
An illustrated online talk by Dr Barry Yates
As spring arrives Rye Harbour Nature Reserve comes alive. Avocets and Oystercatchers jostle with Sandwich Terns and Mediterranean Gulls as breeding starts. The sweet-smelling Sea Kale comes into bloom and bees, butterflies and other insects emerge. Cuckoos, Wheatears and Nightingales return from Africa to breed while other birds stop at the reserve's pools to refuel before continuing north. As the sun sets Bitterns boom in the reedbeds while bats swoop overhead.
Join Dr Barry Yates as he guides us through the action in this illustrated webinar.
