Lockdown birding in Kabul, Afghanistan Wednesday, 31st March 2021 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
An online talk by Mark Mallalieu organised by Sussex Ornithological Society (SOS).
The surprising story of bird migration observed in the centre of Kabul.
An account of the unexpected results of an attempt to study birds in the centre of Kabul under extremely challenging conditions. Despite the unpromising context, the city is in fact highly attractive to birds, especially in spring, drawing down thousands of migrating warblers and other species.
This is a free event but registration is essential. Booking for SOS events is undertaken through Eventbrite. Please note these talks start half an hour earlier than Sussex Wildlife talks.
