Wild New Forest Wednesday, 17th February 2021 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
An online talk organised by Sussex Ornithological Society (SOS)
Wild New Forest by Marcus Ward
Wild New Forest – a look at the projects in the New Forest run by WNF and associates. The New Forest is an important place for a range of bird species, many of which are poorly understood and difficult to monitor. WNF has been working with partners to help get a better understanding of scarce breeding species including Hawfinch, Curlew, Snipe, Lesser Redpoll, Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, and Wood Warbler – along with some of the more unusual inhabitants such as Pine Marten. We will run through the status of each species and provide a bit of info on how and where best to see them for yourself.
This is a free event but registration is essential. Booking for SOS events is undertaken through Eventbrite.
