Across the Sahara - An overland journey to West Africa - Part 1 Tuesday, 19th January 2021 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Online talk with James Duncan
“From Mountains to Desert – the highs and lows of an overland journey to West Africa”
Twenty seven days, five countries, one disputed territory, an active mine field, a whole lot of sand and one small (ish) tent fire – just a few of the things experienced during the mammoth 2019 ‘Banjul charity challenge’ from the UK to Gambia. Just how does crossing the Sahara in a family estate car work out?
Join James to hear how the adventure unfolded, showcasing some of the wildlife highlights, landscape and chaos encountered along the way.
The talk will last for approximately 45 minutes and there will be an opportunity for a short Q&A at the end.
This talk is free but donations to assist the work of Sussex Wildlife Trust would be appreciated. There will be an opportunity to donate at the end of the talk.
You'll receive a reminder email one hour before the start.
