Half Day Bird Safari - Burton Pond, Petworth (20/10/2020) Tuesday, 20th October 2020 9:30 AM - 1:00 PM
Tutor: Mike Russell
Our half-day bird safaris are the perfect way to learn more about the wonderful birdlife and wild habitats found in Sussex. Each safari is aimed at beginners and gives you the chance to learn about birds and bird identification while visiting some of the best sites in Sussex at a time of year when they are at their best for birdwatching.
This walk takes us around the Sussex Wildlife Trust Burton Pond Nature Reserve and through a variety of different habitats. Starting at the Mill pond, the trail winds through mixed deciduous woodland, past some wonderful old Horse Chestnuts, then onto Chingford Ponds before going through a wet woodland carr and ending up crossing an area of restored heathland.
No previous knowledge needed, just enthusiasm. These courses are popular. If they are fully booked please request to be placed on the waiting list as we may run more (email [email protected])
Meet in Burton Mill Pond car park, GU28 0JR.
