Sussex Wildlife Trust is working hard for nature at this challenging time but we can only do so with your support.

Warninglid Walk - Everyone Welcome (08/02/2020) Saturday, 8th February 2020 9:45 AM - 3:00 PM

Meet at the Half Moon pub, Warninglid, West Sussex. RH17 5TR (Explorer Map 134: ref TQ 250262) (www.thehalfmoonwarninglid.co.uk) for a departure at 9:45.

Prior to the walk, the pub will be open for coffee and use of the facilities. The landlord would prefer to take lunch orders on a table by table basis when we return to the pub at about 12:30. However, we would wish everyone to make their choices before we leave in order to speed up the process at lunchtime.

The morning walk will be under four miles, following part of the High Weald Landscape Trail to the pretty village of Slaugham and the local church of St Marys dating from Norman times. The route follows gentle rolling terrain, ancient woodland and passes along some lakes with great views across the Sussex countryside. There are no stiles on this walk.

Following lunch, the afternoon walk, is just under two miles long, and circles around the pretty village of Warninglid and the surrounding countryside.

As these walks are in February, when the routes are likely to be muddy and slippery it is suggested that suitable footwear should be worn and walking sticks would be an advantage.

You are very welcome to join us for either or both of the walks.
