Winter Owls, Woods Mill, Henfield (04/02/2020) Tuesday, 4th February 2020 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Leader James Duncan
Join us as we set out to explore Woods Mill in this most demanding of seasons. This is a great time of year to observe owls on the hunt. Owls are fascinating in both their ecology and mythology, revered by the ancient Greeks as a symbol of wisdom, feared by the Romans who saw them as harbingers of death. We'll look to try and observe this magnificent avian predator, whilst learning more about their captivating lives. Our afternoon walk will take us through Woods Mills’ ancient woodland, following its streams and waterways towards the River Adur.
Guided flat walk of approximately 3km. Please bring binoculars and suitable footwear, as it will be muddy!
No booking required, just turn up.
