Sussex Wildlife Trust is working hard for nature at this challenging time but we can only do so with your support.

Walk - Everybody Welcome - Barns Green, nr Horsham (09/11/2019) Saturday, 9th November 2019 9:45 AM - 3:30 PM

Do join us for what promises to be a delightfully, calming ramble through fields and woodland and which includes a stunning little church with a unique feature and beautiful church yard.

Please meet us in the car park of The Queens Head, Chapel Road, Barns Green, RH13 0PS (Explorer Map 134: TQ 125272) at 9.15 for a prompt 9.45 get away. The pub will be open to let us use the facilities but unfortunately will not be serving coffee: however, alternative arrangements will probably be made on the day. Lunch needs to be pre-booked and the menu can be found from this link - Please email Chris ([email protected]) with your menu choices by November 1st.

The morning walk is an easy ramble through the beautiful Sussex countryside of under five miles. We will be walking through fields and farmland and woodland - look out for cattle, sheep, horses and alpacas. The land is mainly flat with a couple of gentle rises. The main problem might be mud if itโ€™s been raining and so boots are recommended!

The afternoon walk will be a short stroll of just over a mile round the neighbouring Sumner Lakes with an opportunity for a cup of tea at The Cafรฉ on The Lake afterwards.

All are welcome to both walks but there is always the option to come along for either just the morning or afternoon.
