Seaford Open Gardens: Clare's Wildlife Garden Sunday, 9th June 2019 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM
As part of Sussex Wildlife Trust's Seaford Community Wildlife Project we have teamed up with Seaford resident Clare Mayers to showcase her wonderful wildlife garden.
Clare has been gardening with wildlife in mind and, as a result, has recorded some amazing animals in her garden.
Come and join Clare (and Nikki, Charlotte and Michael) and learn all about the wildlife that can be found in gardens across Sussex and what you can do to attract it.
We will be opening a moth trap at 11:15 and throughout the day there will be bug hunts (at 12:30, 13:30 & 14:30) and other activities. Charlotte will be on hand to offer advice about garden wildlife and Nikki will be making bee hotels. Throughout the day we'll keep a list of everything we see in the garden - a backyard BioBlitz!
Meet at 36 Kedale Road, Seaford, BN25 2BU
Admission: To explore Clare's garden please make a donation to the Mayor's charity in the collecting pot when you arrive.
Or you can spend the day exploring all seven fantastic open gardens on the trail including Geoff Stonebank's famous garden at 'Driftwood'.
A Mayor's Open Garden Trail pass costs just £6 per person and can be purchased at any of the participating gardens.
