Old Lodge Wildlife Walk (10/04/2019) Wednesday, 10th April 2019 10:00 AM -
Old Lodge lies within the heart of the Ashdown Forest. It comprises a wide open landscape of heather and grassland, dotted with gorse, birch, oak and scots pine. It sits higher than the surrounding West Sussex heaths, giving it a cooler, damper climate more representative of northern upland moors. Join us for a circular walk of approximately 4km looking for heathland birds, butterflies, reptiles and other wildlife.
Meet in the Old Lodge nature reserve car park off the B2026 north of Duddleswell. Nearest postcode TN22 3JD.
PLEASE NOTE: Meet in the car park clearly marked ‘Sussex Wildlife Trust’ (a lane which is signposted ‘Old Lodge’ leads to a private farm)
