Woods Mill 50: Woods Mill Bioblitz (29/03/2019) Friday, 29th March 2019 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Woods Mill at 50 - Bioblitz at Woods Mill 2019
Friday 29th March – Saturday 30th March
To celebrate the end of the one year ‘Woods Mill at 50’ project, we’re running a pair of bioblitzes; a nocturnal event on the 29th and a diurnal event on the 30th.
What is a Bioblitz?
A bioblitz is an informal recording event that allows us to collect a snapshot of species using as many survey methods as possible. It helps us to answer the question “What is here right now?” and provides valuable data for monitoring and conservation work.
We hope through these events to rediscover some species not recorded at Woods Mill in recent years, and add a few new ones to the reserves list!

Sussex Biodiversity Record Centre will be on site to collect species data and give updates on the number of species recorded during the event.
