Woods Mill 50: Bird Migration Event (12/08/18) Sunday, 12th August 2018 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM
The morning will comprise two parts - discussion of bird movements and survival rates during migration, followed by a walk of the reserve looking out for species heading for warmer climates. Hopefully we’ll be able to watch a demonstration of bird ringing as qualified ringers catch, measure, weigh and ring migrant birds to help us understand more and assist in their conservation.
N.b. Ringing is dependent on weather conditions to ensure the welfare of the birds. In the event of inclement weather, it will be replaced with a presentation on bird migration.
Guided flat walk of approximately 2km.
Woods Mill, Henfield, West Sussex, BN5 9SD.
Free event, though booking essential as places are limited.
