Walk - Everyone Welcome (14/07/18) Saturday, 14th July 2018 9:45 AM - 3:30 PM

Meet at The Kingโ€™s Head, Rudgwick, RH12 3EB. (Explorer Map 134: TQ 091343) in the pub car park, across the road from the pub. Please park in the far-right hand corner of the car park, to leave space nearer the entrance for other pub customers and visitors to the church.

The pub will be open from 9:15 to take our orders for lunch, allow us to use the facilities and provide coffee for those who want it. Please arrive in time to do this and be ready to set off at 9:45.

Our morning walk, through some delightful broad leaf woodland and open countryside, is a little under four miles. As well as butterflies and summer flowers, we will see a rare Wild Service Tree. We will look inside the lovely Norman church at Rudgwick. We will return to the Kingโ€™s Head for lunch.

The afternoon walk, a little under three miles, in similar surroundings, includes some lovely views. Both walks are mainly flat, though parts can be muddy, especially after rain. Walking or Wellington boots are recommended.

You are welcome to do only the morning or afternoon walk if you wish.
