To the Butterfly’s Ball and the Grasshoppers Feast. All are invited, both insect and beast!

Join us for a day of family fun searching for the belles of the Ball. Moth and small mammal trapping, sweep netting, and pond dipping. Whilst we sip hot chocolate, what will the newts be drinking?

Worms will be laid on for frogs and moles, other titbits for beetles and voles! If you don’t fancy that, perhaps a marshmallow toasted on the campfire?

Suitable for children of all ages. All adults must be accompanied by a child.

Please ensure children bring a packed lunch, drink and extra snacks and wear suitable outdoor clothing/footwear and sun protection for the weather conditions.

Chesworth Farm, Chesworth Lane, Horsham, West Sussex, RH13 0AA.

The vehicle access gate for the track to Chesworth Farm site will be open between 10.10 and 10.25am before the session, and between 2.30pm and 2.50pm afterwards.

Pedestrian access only is available before and after these times. Access to Chesworth Farm track is from Queensway/Chesworth Lane T-junction.

Limited parking at Chesworth Farm site: overflow parking in Chesworth Lane, which is a 10 minute walk along a pleasant off-road track to the meeting point.

Public Transport: Nearest bus stop is opposite Denne Road which is approximately 20 minutes from the meeting point.
